That's exactly what happens with my mom! Usually, my mom's problem with whatever it is is that it isn't modest enough. What I do is I come out wearing it and before she can say anything I say, "Wouldn't this top look cute with a cami or a cardigan?" or " Wouldn't this skirt look good with black leggings and my green shoes?". That way, she can't say it's too short or low cut or anything because you've already fixed those problems. If that doesn't work, save up your money and go shopping with friends or your sister or cousins. Hope this helps and good luck shopping with your mom! I know it's tough!
