If there is one thing I love about jewelry, it's the special ability to add pizzazz to anything you're wearing, even if it's a school uniform. If you do have to wear a uniform to school or work, fashion jewelry is the perfect way to show your personality since your actual clothing must be the same as everyone else's.

That's why I've always been most drawn to rings as fashion jewelry because they're so easy to decide on and you can wear tons of them! My favorite type to wear are the big huge chunky kind from Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe. They are colorful and give the perfect amount of sass! If you're thinking about becoming ring-savvy too, the best way to wear rings for a fashion statement is to incorporate one chunky colorful one with however many small metal ones you would like. This will give your hands some balance and allow you to actually use your hands (if you wear too many huge ones you won't really be able to hold pencils, eating utensils or other important things!).

It's easiest to wear the chunky rings on your index finger or middle finger; you'll have more control over your hands that way. Plus, I find it's always hard to have something too big on my ring or pinky finger for some reason. I think it's because there’s more of an uneven gap in between the other fingers and so it's tough for a ring to stay put there! But a tiny metal ring on that finger looks oh-so delicately cute right next to a huge one of color, like this one from Forever 21 for $3.80.

See, fashion jewelry isn't so hard when you think of it in terms of rings. Even shopping for the rings is amusing because it's like digging for treasure! You get to stand there in the store and tear through those little glass bowls of them until you find your perfect match and color. There'll be tons to choose from. You can even bop to the beat of the glorious store soundtrack.

Just be sure to pair one big colorful ring with a couple baby metal ones, and you'll love the sight of your ring-savvy hands doing the hard work they're used to doing (or holding cups of pumpkin spice latte!)
