I do help someone very special to me

It took me awhile to think of a story to enter here. I think that people take care of their families every day, so finding something that I have done that goes beyond the ordinary is difficult. I cook dinner for my family (I love to try out new recipes!) and I do my chores, but that is nothing special.

Every Sunday my family has a family day

Every Sunday my family has a family day...I only go a couple times…and when I do that means I didn’t have any where else to go. Oh and did I mention I’m kinda not the happiest person there on Sunday. You know a girl has to hang out with friends. So on Sunday we play games and eat pizza or macaroni made by my beautiful mother! Everyone laughs and has fun but I always have a pout on my face.

We have been through everything together

I would definitely say that I and my sister Shelli are very close. We have been through everything together. When I was little she always protected me, when my parents would fight, and especially when they got divorced. She always stuck up for me and made sure no one picked on me (except her of course!)

They live in Peru

I live with my mother, father, and older brother in the state of New Jersey. Unfortunately, my grandparents, along with a lot of other family, live far away on a different continent. They live in Peru. Last year, my grandfather got very sick and had to be rushed to the emergency room.

We might have our bad days

Family; My family is so special to me. We might have our bad days but other than that we are really close. Especially my Tia and I. We grew 7 years apart but we were like sisters. My aunt ran away when she was 15 and I was 8.

Money for my high school

For my high school I thought of a fun a creative way to giving back. The cause was to raise money for my high school's music program. I thought it would be fun to incorporate music with the fundraiser, because that's what we were raising money for.

When my aunt died, my mom was really upset. She would cry a lot, but she tried to stay strong in front of my brother and me so that we would not feel bad. However, we both saw through it, and I decided to do something about it. I came up with the idea of holding a memorial party.

This may not seem like much

From 7th grade till my final days of high school, my mom picked me up from school and drove me home. This may not seem like much of a feat at all but to me, it's everything. In 7th grade, my father lost his job. It was the first of many jobs he would lose, the affects of a bad economy seeping into my front door.

This is a very inspiring story of my two brothers Rush and Cale. When Rush was 4 he was diagnosed with Leukemia, a form of cancer. As the cancer progressed, he needed to have a bone marrow transplant.

At certain times it seems like she can't feel any emotion at all, and sometimes it comes off like she doesn't care about my brothers, my dad, or me.

At five years old, I couldn't do much. I went outside and a looked and looked for something to make her happy.

This always made me sad

My sister, Anna, is mentally disabled. It isn't severe, so she is aware of it and she constantly calls herself stupid and retarded. This always made me sad, but whenever I tried to say something, she'd always brush it off with a "whatever" or a "don't even, you get perfect grades". She was constantly attacking herself and I just wasn't sure what to do.

Their house soon becomes loud with the sound of grandkids running, screaming and making messes. But there is one time in this celebration when there is complete silence. Seeing my family smile

Giving back to people is always fun. And giving back to my family is like giving back to myself. Seeing my family smile, and be happy, is enough of a gift for me. My mom works really hard everyday, she is a massage therapist, which is a very hard job. So babysitting my little brother for her to go have fun is no big deal for me, it makes me glad to know that by hanging out with my little brother, it made my day, my brother's day, and my mother's day better.
